My old eyes are having trouble focusing on the front sight. The fit and finish of these rifles is fine. The 9422 Legacys are VERY accurate, too. As for the pistol grip not being traditional enough for a Winchester lever, well that's just nuts!The Marlin is not quite as classic looking, but it has a heavy target barrel, a wider forend, is a true take-down model and has that microgrove. Both have that pistol grip and nice lumber. The Win. has rimfire scope grooves while the Marlin is drilled and tapped. P.S. Keep one and get the other is not an option.
