I use stock plug on my 500 but the I only shoot Black powder charge of 97grns. I tried shooting bh with 400 grn bullet had same problem as you are having. I think it is to much pressure or plug is burnt out. Also like you said your breech is gas cut or plug isn't sealing all the way against the face.
