1952 ford 8n 12 volt side mount distributer. I have a 1952 ford 8n tractor with side mount distributor. It will not start. There is fire at the points but but at the plugs. New wires, distrubutor cap, plugs with gap verified .025. Everything checks good before points. I have read many posts regarding no fire but have not found an answer.Connect the plug wire to #1 cylinder to the #1 nipple. #1 cylinder is closest to the radiator. As you can see, firing order is 1-2-4-3, CCW. Post back w/ results or more questions. And in the future, when you ask a question here, it would be very helpful if you'd ID your tractor as a 1944 2N. That should be the plug wire to #1 spark plug. Now conect the remaining plugs to fire in the order 1-2-4-3. Then re install everything and start your engine.
