In 1979, the radio ministry of Insight for Living was born, beginning on just a handful of stations. In 1995, the Insight for Living board of directors passed a resolution to expand IFL's international outreach over the next five years into as many as ten new languages - giving IFL a tool to reach about 60 percent of the world population. The mission statement of Insight for Living Ministries, the Bible-teaching ministry of Chuck Swindoll, states that we are committed to excellence in communicating the truths of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ. The book tells us that Zephaniah prophesied during the reign of Josiah, the king of Judah from 640 to 609 BC ( Zephaniah 1:1 ).
